Editorial Policy

I. Submission
For publication in the Asian Review of Financial Research (ARFR), please submit your manuscript in electronic form via e-mail to journal@korfin.org. All manuscripts should be prepared in accordance with the manuscript style guidelines stipulated by the ARFR. All manuscripts must be professionally proofread before submission.

A manuscript to be published in the ARFR shall be in a form of a research paper or research note that displays significant academic value and quality. The work described in the manuscript must not already have been published in a book or another academic journal. Nor shall it be under consideration for publication elsewhere. The ARFR shall not consider a manuscript which contains a work that has previously been published in the form of a project report.
II. Publication Fees
No submission and publication fees are required for all submissions
III. Review Process
The review process is as follows.
1. The editor first screens the submission to assess whether the manuscript complies with the policy of Asian Review of Financial Research.

2. All submissions are subject to double blind reviews by two referees. The editor selects an associate editor and two referees are nominated by the associate editor.

3. Based on the referee reports by the two referees, the associate editor should make an editorial decision and recommend the decision to the editor. The editor should make a final editorial decision based on the referee reports and the associate editor's recommendation.

4. The normal review process takes eight weeks from the submission of a manuscript till the notification of an editorial decision with review reports.

5. If the review result is "revise and resbumittion" then the author should send the revised work back to the associate editor within 3 months. If necessary, the author can be extended the revise period up to one year.

6. When the paper accepted for publication, the journal manger sends the author the final guide mail with Copyright Transfer Agreement before publication. The author should return back the final paper with Copyright Transfer Agreement to journal manager. An acceptance confirmation letter of publication will be issued upon request.

7. The editor has the right to desk-reject the paper if the paper does not fit the journal.
4. Style Guidelines
(1) The first page of the manuscript must contain the title, the name(s) of the author(s), the institution(s) with which the author(s) is (are) affiliated, an abstract of no more than 200 words, up to five keywords, and a footnote with the full mailing and e-mail address of the corresponding author and acknowledgements. The footnote on the title page should not be numbered.

(2) The text must be double spaced. All pages should be numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals. Sections and subsections should be marked as follows:

(3) Footnotes should be used only when necessary and numbered consecutively throughout the text in Arabic numerals.

(4) Tables and figures should be drawn clearly and numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals (ex: Table 1, Figure 1) along with a title or description. Vertical lines should not be used to divide columns in tables.

(5) A bibliography should be attached to the text in an alphabetical order of the authors' names. When quoting other published materials in the text, the year of publication should be indicated in a parenthesis. All quoted materials should be stated in the bibliography with the quotations identical to the original sources.

A referenced periodical in the bibliography should appear in the order of (i) the name(s) of the author(s), the title of the work, the name of the publication (italicized), the volume number, the year of publication in parenthesis, and the page numbers. A referenced book should be written in the order of the name(s) of the author(s), the title of the book (italicized), the edition number (if more than one), the volume number (if more than one), the name of the publisher, and the place and year of publication.

5. Copyrights
The contributor is solely responsible for the contents of the manuscripts. The Korean Finance Association owns the copyright of the manuscript published in the Review.
